PA Department of Environmental Protection - Environmental Education Grants
Mini-grants to purchase resources, materials, equipment, and/or transportation to and/or entrance fees relating to hands-on education in the following topics: sustainable energy, air quality, watersheds, and some other topics. Up to $1500.00. Also mini-grants available to support training for teachers on the same topics.


Water Resources Education Network - List of several grant opportunities
Ranging from grants to be used for three primary categories that include operating expenses, organizational promotion and outreach, or a restoration project to grants to help schools, universities, nonprofit organizations and county conservation districts develop projects to increase environmental literacy among Pennsylvania's students.


Toyota Tapestry - Grants for Science Teachers

Toyota Tapestry is the largest K-12 science teacher grant program in the nation, providing 50 grants of up to $10,000 each to K-12 science teachers, as well as a minimum of 20 mini-grants of up to $2,500 each for projects smaller in scope. These grants are awarded for creative, innovative classroom projects in the fields of environmental education, physical science, and literacy and science education.

Melinda Gray Arcadia Environmental Foundation
The Foundation supports curricula that empower and encourage students to become involved in solving environmental and social problems as informed decision makers through the emphasis and application of basic ecological principles.

Rohm and Haas Responsible Neighbor Program
Primarily supports educational programs in K-12 math and science, which focus on environmental issues. Educational enrichment activities in math, science, and technology; during and after school hours are encouraged. Grants are made for program, projects, and general operating purposes and typically range from $250 to $10,000.

 

Toshiba America Foundation
The mission of Toshiba America Foundation is to contribute to the quality of science and mathematics education in U.S. communities by investing in projects designed by classroom teachers to improve science and mathematics education for students in grades K thru 12. Grants in two categories: under $5,000 and over $5,000.

 

Captain Planet Foundation
The mission of the Captain Planet Foundation (CPF) is to support hands-on environmental projects for youth in grades K-12. Our objective is to encourage innovative activities that empower children around the world to work individually and collectively as environmental stewards. Through ongoing education, we believe that children can play a vital role in preserving our precious natural resources for future generations. Grants ranging from $250 to $2500.

 

National Geographic Education Foundation
Our grantmaking targets large-scale issues, such as improving the stature of geography in the curriculum, ensuring federal funding for geography education programs, and improving public awareness of the importance of geographic literacy. We also support innovations that directly affect children's education, such as providing their teachers with professional development and engaging kids in experiential, hands-on learning. Awards valued up to $5,000 avaliable.
